The old and the new

Several metro stations in Paris are currently undergoing renovation as part of the latest subway repair plan. It is a time to tear down the previous add-ons that had been set-up to cover the walls of the old stations, so that the old and the new signs now appear side by side:

An eclectic collection of slogans and grafittis is unearthed,

while the random collages of old posters on the billboards seem to turn some stations into authentic pop art exhibitions...

Like a Tourist

I've strolled down the rue de la Paix, walked by the Ritz, almost ate out of their dumpster but opted for tea at Mariage Frères instead.


After a detour in the less glamorous 13th arrondissement, I gaped at the Eiffel tour and Louvre pyramid by night.


I relished danish pastries in the boulangeries and marvelled at the fishmonger's display...
