Another kind of Bastille Day

This year I traded canapés and cheese platters at the embassy for a horse show and fireworks in the historical Citadel of Blaye...


The attendance definitely matched that of the embassy, the firemen's ball heated up the atmosphere, and the fireworks were quite impressive:

It was a lot of fun, with typical nougats de Montélimar adding a gastronomic touch to the evening.
